Sun V890 Serial Port

Hi, I'mtrying to connect a Device via the serial port to my Solaris 10 environment (Sunfire V880). Official Patch 9 6 Gp4 Files on this page. I have setup ttyb to connect to the Device. I am getting a connected status in my Port Listing (Using a separate Module that I have in the app running in the environment) but the moment I try to send data to the device,it says the port is disconnected The Serial Port Communication settings in the device I am trying to connect is: Baud Rate: 9600 Number of bits: 8 StopBit: 1 Parity: No parity Flow Control: Xon/Xoff This is what I have in my Server Side ttyb - 9600,8,n,1,- IS there something missing at any of the ends?

Or is it possible for some other way to establish the connection?
