I updated to Windows 8.1, and Windows doesn't recognize the drivers and manufacturers when it's plugged in. 'PS3 controller' shows up in 'Devices and Printers' as well as Device Manager, but it doesn't connect. If you've upgraded to 8.1 and noticed the PS3 controller does not work anymore, welcome to the club. It can be infuriating, I know. Thankfully, I've come up with a fix documented below. It does take about 5-10 minutes to configure and optionally install MotionJoy drivers, then Better DS3 -- a better controller configuration tool.

Ps3 Controller Driver Windows 8.1

I was using PS3 controller with MotioninJoy driver on my Windows 8.0 system, but now that I upgraded to 8.1, I don't know what controller would work. Did anybody try to install MotioninJoy driver for PS3 controller?

How about X-Box 360? Is it compatible out of the box? (I don't have one, only PS3, so I would have to buy it). What about X-Box One? The talk was that its controller will be compatible with Windows PC? How about PS4?

I have not open any games for a month because I have no controller- really need one soon. Thank you for your reply. Any particular 360 controller? Sax And Dotty Keygen. Wireless or wired? I had issue with PS3 Bluetooth detection- I have Bluetooth disabled. Does the 360 wireless controller requires Bluetooth or is it USB receiver? Or should I use wired? Different Types Heat Treatment Process Pdf there.

It's just the official controller that would come with a 360, it is wired though. It works out the box as well, just plug in and windows does the rest. If you wanted to use a wireless you'd need a receiver like you said, something like this: The PS4 controller should also work: and you can even buy them now: Edit: also, if you do decide on a 360 controller, I'd get an official microsoft one. Just a little bit more expensive (there's probably cheap ones on ebay) but it's worth it. My experience with third party controllers is they are much cheaper quality with buttons that stick and uncomfortable joysticks.

MotioninJoy is a small application that allows you to use the Playstation 3 controller, for lots of users one of the most comfortable of all times, with all the games on your computer. The only thing you need for this is a Playstation 3 controller (logically), the cable to recharge it (USB, miniUSB) and this application installed on your computer. Once the application is installed and the controller is connected to the computer with the USB cable, you only have to follow the tutorial on the official webpage of the program and in a matter of seconds you will be able to use it. The tutorial, for those who are afraid of complex processes, is as simple as clicking on the drivers tab of the application, selecting those that appear and load them. In a few seconds it will all be ready, apart from some small finishing touches to the taste of the player himself. Those final touches allow you to configure all the buttons of the controller, the vibration, etc. So that you can use the Playstation 3 controller to your own taste.
