Janome Digitizer Pro Software Updates

I understood that my Janome Digitizer Pro software would work on Windows 10, however when I start the programme (it says it has successfully installed) it apparently starts loading, then simply stops. When I run Compatibility, I come up with Error: Usage DESLOADR.EXE. I even tried rolling back to my previous Windows 7 setting when the programme did work last, however it comes up with the same message so now this very expensive software is unusable.

Incidentally I have tried reloading the programme, repairing it, uninstalling and reinstalling, always the same message. Can anyone help at all? Janome is no longer supporting my particular version of their software, so I can't refer to them. Thank you to anyone who might know what to do. Hi Wendy, Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community. I suggest that you run the program in compatibility mode and check if the issue persist. To change mode follow the steps below: 1.

R ight click on the application it and select Properties. Click the Compatibility tab and then tick the box labelled Run this program in compatibility mode for. Select the version of Windows that the app worked in before and Click OK.

Continue installing the file and check if it helps. And thank you for your quick reply. As I mentioned in my original post, I did find the Compatibility Mode option on Windows. It is when I run Compatibility Mode that I get the Error: Usage DESLOADR.EXE.

When I try to run the programme again, it just stops. I have tried compatibility mode for both XP and for Windows 7, both of which originally ran the programme. As I say, when I tried 'rolling back' to Windows 7, I am getting the same Error: Usage DESLOADR.EXE message, so I can't use the programme at all even on my original settings. The Compatibility programme does not fix the problem. Is there a problem with DESLOADR.EXE?

Can I get some kind of fix? Hi Wendy, Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

Still no answer to my reply to you suggestion, here is what I wrote earlier, can you or anyone else help at all? And thank you for your quick reply. The Compatibility programme does not fix the problem. Is there a problem with DESLOADR.EXE? Can I get some kind of fix? I have had the same problem with my Digitizer Pro /Windows 10. It opens up and begins to load and then freezes. I tried all of the suggested fixes without any positive results. I was lucky enough to walk away leaving the program on in its frozen mode.

When I came back it had actually loaded and an error code about the Desloar.exe appeared. There was a reference about a recovered file not loading which got me thinking. I had explored all the files that load with the Digitizer Pro. Look in C: >Program Files (x86) >Janome>Digitizer Pro. Open the RECOVER file and look to see what's in there. My RECOVER file was very full. Providing there's nothing recent in there that you need to keep delete all these files. When I did this my Digitizer Pro opened up in a flash.

It appears that the freezing that was happening was actually the program trying to open all these files and it was sending the program in to overload. Hope this solution might work for you too. I was ever so pleased to have it working once again and I will clear the RECOVER file out more often in the future.
