Autocad Set All Z To 0

I think we're both right. I tested the theory by creating one line in the normal X, Y, Z plane that AutoCAD defaults to. I rotated my UCS around X 90 deg. Copied the line three times in increments of 2 units each. Thus creating 4 lines with elevations of 0, 2, 4 and 6. Transportation Engineering By Khanna And Justo Pdf. Leaving the UCS 'as is' I tried the suggestion I made (Change >Elevation). The command failed to work as I had said it would.

However, after rotating the UCS around X -90 deg and retrying I got all the lines to be at elevation 0.

I know I can set the elevation when I insert it but having to so that every time seems pointless when the elevation will never change for a family. Windows 7 RAC2012 Apr 3, 2013 Ive got a problem with creating elevations. When I create an elevation on my floor plan - in this instance level 5 of my 30 storey building I open up the elevation and see the attached view. Its crop region is only 3mm high and therefore only shows me the floor of level 5 instead of the whole elevation of level 5 to the underside of the level 6 slab. Jul 11, 2013 I am trying to create an elevation label that will give me the spot elevation followed by the letters 'TC' and then on the line below subtract 4 inches from the elevation followed by the letters 'BC'. Furthermore (post switchover), when a colleage of mine prepared a simple test drawing with just a line and a point, he was able to snap to that line without the point changing elevation. Jan 28, 2011 I have a situation where the default behavior of my rectangle tool (or any of the other shape tools) is now different. I'm on Mac OS X 10.6.5 running Illustrator CS5.

It acts as though the option-shift keys are pressed, so whenever I draw an object, it draws from the center point and the dimensions are constrained, so i can only draw a square or circle, not a rectangle or ellipse. Additionally, whenever I use the selection tool, it clones the object I drag, and also constrains the positioning, so i can only drag in a 0, 45 or 90 degree angle (or multiples thereof). It's as if my option-shift keys are permanently pressed (if I actually press option-shift, the behavior persists). I tried using a different (brand new) keyboard, tried throwing away preferences, and the problem remains. I also tried booting up Illustrator CS4, and the weird problem showed up there! This behavior just started happening spontaneously.
